EVERY MOTHER DESERVES TO EXPERIENCE PREGNANCY AND CHILDBIRTH WITH PROPER CARE AND DIGNITY

The LEAP Center believes that local communities are the best agents of change in maternal health.

By empowering community members to take an active role in improving maternal health outcomes, we can create lasting change in mothers and families in the USA.

Our work is centered in Miami-Dade county’s most at-risk zip codes, though we aspire to be a model of global change as every day, countless lives are lost due to inadequate access to quality maternal healthcare.

HOW WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE

LEADERSHIP TRAINING

We believe in building from within. By identifying and nurturing passionate individuals, we create a network of community leaders who advocate and mentor pregnant women.

We invest in building a strong community around expectant mothers. This includes establishing peer groups to provide emotional support, share knowledge, and address unique challenges.

COMMUNITY CAPACITY BUILDING

COMMUNITY INTERVENTION

We empower communities to dismantle barriers, bridge healthcare gaps, and champion maternal well-being by implementing evidence-based interventions to tackle maternal mortality and morbidity.

HELP MAKE A CHANGE

Empowering communities, fostering awareness, and advocating for change, we strive to dramatically reduce US maternal mortality and morbidity. Our goal: a safer world for mothers and their newborns.
